Jesus- Our common ground!

Maybe the post title seems strange but hopefully you will understand after I get done telling you about our day.

Our day started off helping here at NV. The guys had a bed building project to work on. These beds are for the children here at Naomi's that have distance family members that they visit from time to time accompanied by a social work from Naomi's. When the kids visit they have no where to sleep, so the beds that we will deliver tomorrow will provide a way for these children to do just that.

After the guys finished up the project for the morning and the girls wrapped up helping with laundry or toddler watching, we headed out to Women of Courage. This is a bible study group of about 10 ladies that are emerging from prostiution. They come together to encourage each other in their fight to forsake their old life and embrace the new life of freedom and forgiveness. I was so overwhelmed and blessed as we sat around the stone walled room. Different cultures, different backgrounds and lifestyles, different languages, but we had one common ground- Jesus. And isn't that all that really matters!? We may can only say 'Thank You!', 'Hi'', or 'God bless you!', in a language that each can understand. But when it comes to worshipping our King, that is a universal language. Jesus' love crosses all language barriers. Please remember these ladies as they seek God for His help in meeting their everyday needs!

When we left the Women of Courage, we drove to the Cornerstone Preparatory Academy building site. It is truly amazing what God is doing! This is a school that will provide education for around 400 children. That number include the 59 children at NV, plus those in the surrounding area that will be accepted after a through evaluation of their circumstances has been completed. CPA is the first building on the 24 acres of land that will houses soccer fields, housing for visiting teams/people, an auditorium, and a few other buildings as well. There is more that I could share about all this but I won't bore you with all the details right now. If you would like to know more please feel free to ask me. (The picture below is one of the boys the will go to CPA.)

I will leave you with a few random picture from throughout the day. Thank you again for your prayers and love!! Each one of you are a blessing to me!

I am privileged to be in His service!
Hannah
