Where you go, I'll go
Where you stay, I'll stay
When you move, I'll move
I will follow...
All your ways are good
All your ways are sure
I will trust in you alone
Higher than my side
High above my life
I will trust in you alone
When you move, I'll move
I will follow...
All your ways are good
All your ways are sure
I will trust in you alone
Higher than my side
High above my life
I will trust in you alone
Chorus:
Where you go, I'll go
Where you stay, I'll stay
When you move, I'll move
I will follow you
Who you love, I'll love
How you serve I'll serve
If this life I lose, I will follow you
I will follow you
Light unto the world
Light unto my life
I will live for you alone
You're the one I seek
Knowing I will find
All I need in you alone, in you alone
(Chorus)
Where you go, I'll go
Where you stay, I'll stay
When you move, I'll move
I will follow you
Who you love, I'll love
How you serve I'll serve
If this life I lose, I will follow you
I will follow you
Light unto the world
Light unto my life
I will live for you alone
You're the one I seek
Knowing I will find
All I need in you alone, in you alone
(Chorus)
In you there's life everlasting
In you there's freedom for my soul
In you there joy, unending joy
and I will follow You.
(Chorus)
Following God is an adventure, an adventure unlike any other. It's more unpredictable than Arkansas weather, more exciting than receiving $10,000.00, more treacherous than climbing Mt. Everest, but I'm learning everyday that it's more joyous than I can imagine. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts." Is. 55:9
Just when I think that I might know what God is up to He blows my mind as He far exceeds my thoughts.
After returning from Kenya in July someone asked me if "I got 'it' in my blood while I was there?" My response was," 'It' was already in my blood but just got stimulated." That is truly how I felt. Those desires that God had been putting in my heart in the months/year leading up to me going, only grew stronger as I saw with my eyes the overwhelming needs, listened with my ears to the faithfulness and mercies of God, and walked among God's redemption in progress among the nations. The days, weeks, and months following I have had many emotions but God has loving helped me sort through them, showing me my weaknesses and His strength, and teaching me that His timing it ALWAYS perfect.
"It is not for [us] to know the times or seasons that the Father has put in His own power." Acts 1:7
I'm going to be completely honest and make a confession. I struggle with giving everything to God and trusting His timing. I like to be in control and know what's going on. I like to know if I take 'this' step where will it lead. But God says,"That is not for you to know, just trust Me and believe that I do all things well. This is all My doings, don't you think I know what's best?" And I have to answer,
"God forgive my unbelief and distrust in You. I confess my pride in thinking that I am self- sufficient. Yes, this is all Your doings. You don't need me but You allow me to be a part of Your work. This wasn't my idea. You placed these desires in my heart so I choose to trust you and believe that you are working exceeding, abundantly above all I can ask or think. " And when I came to the place of trusting and resting in His timing, He has opened the door for me to return to Kenya.
I will be leaving mid January to start a two month intern at Naomi's Village. I am excited for the opportunity to serve at Naomi's and look forward to all that God is going to do in these up coming months. I will choose to recklessly abandon to Him and follow wherever He leads. He knows the way, I don't. He knows what's ahead, I don't. So I must be faithful with today because that is all I'm promised. "He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much," Luke 16:10
Hugs from Hannah
